As a non for profit community sports club, some of the activities, services and development projects of the club we provide, rely on extra funding. Our Friends committee is headed and ran by parent volunteers who have children who joined the Lincoln Gym Club and decided they had the skills to get involved.
All the committee asks is for members who can volunteer a small amount of their time to offer skills they may have. Attending a meeting every two to three months, they are looking for those who can offer help when events and activities are being held, anyone with great fundraising ideas, or individuals who are great decision makers for the benefit of all our members.
Anyone interested in getting involved in the fundraising side of their child’s club please come and get involved in our friend’s committee. See any member of the committee, or speak to anyone involved in your child’s session and they will direct you on the first step to ‘Getting Involved’.

11-03-17 - LGC goes dizzy for Air Ambulance
Gymnasts from Lincoln Gymnastics Club have literally been going head over heels to raise money. Last summer, during the official opening of their new facility on Sadler Road, gymnasts from the club took part in a sponsored forward roll in aide of their chosen charity and a defibrillator for the club. The challenge, to see how many rolls could be completed within 1 minute.
Many gymnasts took part, and by completing a staggering number of rolls, the total raised reached the dizzy height of £1880.13. The two participants who managed to obtain the most amount in sponsorship, Mia Pendrick and Grace Keen, had the pleasure of representing the club and presenting the Air Ambulance with a donation of £450 from the event on 25th February.
Delivery of the defibrillator was taken on 11th March with full training given to all members of the coaching and reception team, as well as 3 Friends committee members. The device is now in situ at the club should the need arise for its use.
Well done to all involved and thank you to all gymnasts and sponsors for their support.
